COVID-19 may hamper indoor dining, but it is not going to keep Barbara Esmonde, chef/owner of Barbara’s on the Bay, in a holding pattern.

The award winning restaurateur is turning off the stove for a few months to pivot to refurbishments ahead of her 2021 Spring opening.

“We will be suspending all dining services, including takeout and delivery, for the winter season,” Esmonde announced. “This is the first time we have been seasonal and only because of COVID. We will be painting and installing new carpet as well.”

“We are getting ahead of any possible changes from the state until we are through the worst this winter,” she said.
