When What’s Up? Eastern Shore Magazine published its 2020 Best of Eastern Shore Restaurant Awards in May in the midst of the COVID-19 shutdown, award winning Kent County restaurants missed out on that news splash.

Now that outside dining is back, we remind readers the Barbara’s on the Bay won the Best American Restaurant and Best Waterfront Restaurant categories. Barbara’s on the Bay is located overlooking Betterton’s harbor.

Chef/Owner Barbara Esmonde opened up outside dinner service today by reservation.

Her menu includes for Take Out and Dinner Deck Service (deck is reservation only). Thursday’s specials are: Steak Fajita Quesadilla topped with Pico de Gallo, with Cheddar and Pepperjack Cheese and Sriracha Aioli; Pan Roasted Boston Bass in Herb and Tomato Broth over Creamy Parmesan Grits with Sauteed Spinach; Grilled, Boneless Pork Chop with Apple and Bacon Relish, Roasted Garlic Mash and Crispy Brussel Sprouts.

Barbara’s is offering dinner service on the deck Thursday – Sunday, 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Cash or check only at this time.
