Today, Senator Steve Hershey (R-36-Upper Shore), Delegate Steve Arentz (R-36-Queen Anne’s), Delegate Jay Jacobs (R-36-Kent) and Delegate Jeff Ghrist (R-36-Caroline) announced that the District 36 Night in Annapolis scheduled for March 23rd has been cancelled as part of the Maryland General Assembly’s overall Corona Virus (COVID-19) Management Efforts.

“Following the recommendations of the Governor’s Office and General Assembly Leadership, we have cancelled District 36 Night as we take all precautionary measures in Annapolis to do our part to prevent the spread of this virus and keep as many Marylanders safe and healthy as possible,” said Senator Hershey. “We appreciate the overwhelming response we received to attend our event and are disappointed that we won’t be able to connect with constituents in person. We appreciate the understanding and cooperation of the citizens of District 36 as we follow the advice of many public healthcare experts. As always, don’t hesitate to contact any of our offices with questions or concerns about pending legislation and other constituent matters.”
