Anita M. Hubitsky passed away at her home in Chestertown on Friday, July 10, 2020 after a long illness. She was 70 years old. The West Virginia native moved with her family to Baltimore when she was a young girl. She worked for the Teamsters Union, Black and Decker and finally for the federal government until she retired in 2011.
Mrs. Hubitsky married her husband Richard in June of 1970, who survives her.
She enjoyed traveling with her husband to Hawaii and Las Vegas. She also enjoyed watching game shows, cooking shows and was an avid fan of her soaps which included Day of Our Lives and General Hospital.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hubitsky is survived by daughters, Kristina Gilberto (Joe), Carrie Titus (Keith), Amanda Andrew (Chris); grandchildren Mikayla, Dominic and Vincent Gilberto, Tyler and Kayce Titus, Gavin Leith and Harper Andrew; sister Charlotte Harris; brother Kenny Kulchar and many treasured nieces and nephews.
Services will be held privately on July 15, 2020 at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, Chestertown, MD. Live webcasting of the funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm. Interment will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Chestertown, MD.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Arthritis Foundation.
