Louis Wallace Powell of Millington, MD passed away Sat. May 15, 2021 at the Resorts at Chester River Manor in Chestertown, MD. He was 78.

Mr. Powell was born Dec. 9, 1942 the son of the late James Tilden Powell and Florence Emma “Wallace”. He worked most of his life as a heavy equipment operator for David A. Bramble Inc. Mr. Powell loved playing softball and was a talented catcher for many years until his knees went bad. He then switched from playing ball to coaching for several years. Mr. Powell was a Life Member of the Millington Volunteer Fire Company and was very active within the company throughout his life. In addition to softball and the Fire Company, Mr. Powell also enjoyed fishing, working and traveling, especially to California.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Louanne Hamilton, two sisters, Becky Flowers and Peggy Ellsworth and three brothers, Bobby, Kenny and James Powell.

He is survived by one sister, Florence “Patsy” V. Wilson of Sudlersville, MD.

Mr. Powell requested to have no services.
