Martha Yost Wiltbank, 93 of Chestertown, MD passed away on June 12, 2021 in Kent Hospice House, Chestertown.
Mrs. Wiltbank was born on May 17, 1928 in Dayton, Ohio, daughter of the late Warden and Grace Scott Yost and step-mother, Selma Hanson Yost. She was raised in Ohio and moved to Chestertown in 1944, where she furthered her education at Chesapeake College and Wesley College. Martha was a registered nurse working for Kent and Queen Anne’s Hospital and Magnolia Hall Nursing Home. In 1951 she and her husband moved to the family farm on Goose Hill in Chestertown.
Mrs. Wiltbank was a member of the Betterton Golden Age Club, Frank M. Jarman Legion Auxiliary, Red Hat Society and Christ United Methodist Church, and for over 10 years a volunteer at the Nearly New Shop.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, William C. Wiltbank; her brother, Albert S. Yost; her sister, Patricia Chaney; daughter in law, Linda Wiltbank and her grandson, William Tyler Wiltbank.
Mrs. Wiltbank is survived by her children, Teresa Bostic (Dudley) of Chestertown, Toni Witzemann (Bill) of Belington, WVA, Timothy Wiltbank of South Mountain, PA, William Ted Wiltbank (Pamela Peters) of Belington WVA and Tom Wiltbank (Tammy) of Chestertown; 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and a niece and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 17 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, Galena, where funeral service will begin at 12 pm. Burial in Chestertown Cemetery.
