The warmer, sunnier weather is a harbinger of good things to come. One of those positive changes is the return of activity on the Sassafras River. Jeff Carroll is starting the trend. The chef/owner of The Fish Whistle at the Granary in Georgetown, MD has announced his spring reopening on March 4.

Carroll has been working on some new dishes, but one sure winner that is returning in March is The Fish Whistle’s Seafood Feast on Thursdays starting at 5 pm. The menu includes the Seafood Steamer Bag with shrimp and mussels, fresh shucked oysters on the half shell, Lisa’s famous fried oysters, and house baked oysters.  The feast also includes fried catfish, soup, salad, and hush puppies.

Music returns on March 19 when Levi Stephens returns to perform live starting at 8 pm.
