This Week’s Answer: Francis Gibson

Chestertown’s landmark tavern and restaurant was built by Francis “Gibby” Gibson in 1937.  He owned and operated it until it was sold in the early 1980s.  Gibby and his longtime assistant, Milford Dukes, were known to generations of Kent Countians, as well as Washington College students and visitors.
