Chestertown residents cannot attend town meetings for the foreseeable future, most likely until the state of emergency is lifted and the curve of COVID-19 infections is flattened.

Same with the Kent County Commissioners, who held their weekly meeting Tuesday without an audience. The meeting was webcast but viewers could not participate.

The Chestertown Historic District Commission will meet via Zoom chat, tonight, Wednesday, April 1 at 5 p.m.

Residents can log on at:

Meeting ID: 241 346 482
Password: 540705

If you don’t have audio or video capability you can call 301-715-8592 at the meeting start time, 5 p.m., and follow the prompts to participate.

The Mayor and Council meeting for April 6, at 7:30 p.m., will follow the same protocols. Residents should visit the meeting agenda page Friday or Monday to get the Meeting ID and Password.

Future town meetings, even after the COVID-19 crisis is gone, will be webcast and recorded for replay beginning the April 20 meeting.
